Weekly Curated Sale: Paper Piecing

Hi my name is Teri and I’m a paper piecing addict. I admit at first I wasn’t so sure but once I got the hang of it I was hooked! I just finished a row robin with some of my quilty friends and I paper pieced all my rows. I was a little intimidated to be among this group of very talented quilters and I didn’t want to disappoint them. Paper piecing worked well, each block ended up perfect! I’m actually excited to show them the rows I did. For this sale I picked some of my favorite paper piecing tools & references as well as others I haven’ t tried yet but have heard work well.

I absolutely love this Translucent Vellum Paper. It it sheer enough to see through easily but sturdy enough it doesn’t fall apart (even when I have to rip out seams….repeatedly).

I also couldn’t live without the Add-A-Quarter Rulers. It’s a paper piecing game changer!

A great tool in place of constantly ironing is the Iron Finger. You can use this to press the seams down without having to trek to your ironing board each time.

These Olfa Precision Applique Scissors are super sharp and not only great for applique but work well for trimming fabrics down to a more manageable size when sewing.

Books are a great resource for not only learning the technique but also gathering patterns. This book, Intentional Piecing, has some really great blocks in varying sizes that could be used for all different kinds of projects.

Go ahead, try it – you’ll like it! These were a few of my favorites but you can shop the entire weekly curated sale here. Want to see all of the different tools we currently have on sale? Visit our website and view them all!
