Valentine Table Topper Idea

Do you need another project to whip up quickly? No? Well, me neither –  but I do love this little table topper! It is called Pretty in Pink by Patrick Lose; I found the pattern in his new book Year Around Quilting with Patrick Lose.

I don’t know if I will have time to work on the table topper this weekend, but I want to tell you about it because the 40% off book sale is still on, but will end next week. Plus, our Quilter’s Candy Basics are on sale too!

Here are the fabrics I think I will use:

Red by Alex Anderson

Fussy cut for the hearts? Yes!

May use as backing, quilt from the back, and use grid in the design as a guide for quilting lines with a walking foot. Gotta keep it simple!

Looks good with Quilter’s Candy Basics Lotta Dots Red and one of our White on White prints.

If you are not sure about mixing reds, CT makes it easy by having multiple fabrics in hues such as crimson, cherry, and red. Choose among one color, and they will usually work well together.

The Pretty in Pink table topper, which finishes at 20″ in diameter, would look great with a candle or a bowl of Valentine chocolates in the center. Even if I don’t get mine done for this Valentine’s Day, I still plan to make it for other occasions and next year.

Be sure to check our big book, tool, batting, and Quilter’s Candy Basic sales… they are almost over!

I have always wanted to make this Lovely Valentine table topper> All the white
space seems to scare me off as to quilting as I don’t quilt well on the machine. I usual
Use Straight lines or cross hatch! Sigh!!!
