Featured Tool: Straight Appliqué Scissors by Knit Picks, Item # 81935

Connecting Threads Reviewer: Laraine

What are the Straight Appliqué Scissors typically used for?

They are typically used for cutting embroidery floss, thread, yarn, and small pieces of fabric.

What can you tell us about the Straight Appliqué Scissors?

These are so inexpensive, small, and sharp(!) that I have several. I keep one in my binding bag, one with my embroidery/cross stitch stuff, and several around my sewing room. They are great for any small cutting jobs and are sharp all the way to the point. The cover helps protect the ends (and you from accidental jabs).

How long did it take you to learn how to use them?

No time at all.

What did you like best? What did you like least?

I love how inexpensive and sharp they are! I have, however, misplaced the cover on occasion.

Why do you NEED a pair?

I never seemed to have scissors when and where I needed them. Now I have these stored in the different areas where I use them the most. They are small, making them easy to take along when needed.

Who would appreciate the Straight Appliqué Scissors most?

This would be perfectly suited for:

  • Beginner Quilters
  • Intermediate Quilters
  • Expert Quilters
  • Embroiders
  • Paper Piecers
  • Someone acquiring the “basics”

Even better?

These scissors are currently only $3.49 and available on our website!
