The Season of Giving

The Oregon Humane Society recently put out a call for bandanas made from holiday fabric for the cats and pups at the shelter. We had some extra Winter Fun and Wrap It Up samples here in the office, so I spent a rainy Saturday afternoon making kitty sized Christmas bandanas. Last night I stopped by the shelter to volunteer in the cattery, and I couldn’t resist snapping a couple of shots of the residents in their holiday finery.

This is Keesha,

Count Boxula,

and Bobbi.

Don’t they look cute and festive?

They are adorable, I wish they could all be in loving homes this holiday season.

I’m with ranchmom, the kitties are adorable, and should all be in loving homes. Maybe the extra bling will make someone want to bring them home for the new year!

If only I were there near the shelter, Count Boxula would have a home with me – I love Siamese cats and want one!

  4. Angela - December 28, 2010

I ended up taking home Boo myself. He’s my Christmas kitty!

Angela, that is amazing! I work with stray and abandoned animals here in Portugal and am so happy that sad looking kitty gets a home! I must say cats and quilters, well maybe crafters in general, go really well together! My cats LOVE fabrics and warm quilts. They are both rescues and I wish I could have more, wish I could save them all. Congrats on the new family addition!
