Working at Connecting Threads comes with plenty of perks, but the best one by far is getting to try EVERYTHING! Here’s what our staff is currently excited about!

 Sashiko Cushion Cover Kit

Sashiko Cushion Cover Kit from Connecting Threads

“I just finished my very first sashiko project and it was every bit as fun as I thought it would be. Not only was the kit easy, but it had everything I needed, including the stitches printed right on the cushion. I can’t wait to take the next step and do my own sashiko design on a second cushion.”Hannah M.

Rose Gold Klasse Scissors & Thread Cutter Set

Rose Gold Scissors & Thread Cutter Set from Connecting Threads

“This set has quickly become my favorite! The scissors are sharp and precise, and perfect for snipping tiny appliqué pieces and thread. The thread cutter is an added bonus that I always keep within reach.” Hillary E.

LED Sewing Machine Light Kit

“I love the extra light for sewing all of my projects. When I take my sewing machine to a class the light goes right along with the machine. I just have to pack the cord!” Judy R.

Hobbs Tuscany Wool/Cotton Batting

Hobbs Tuscany Cotton Wool Blend Batting from Connecting Threads

“This is my go-to batting. It’s machine washable and has enough weight from the cotton to feel like a quilt, but also has major pliability and drape from the wool. Makes for super soft, super snuggly quilts!” Kris E.

Stencil – Score of Four – 4″

Stencil - Score of Four from Connecting Threads

“This is my go-to stencil! These designs fit perfectly in a 4” finished block. With six different patterns to choose from, I always find one that will work with my project. You can also combine these to fit a larger block or border. I love using the White Ultimate Quilt Pounce Pad with this stencil. The transferred design will stay visible on the quilt until you remove it with a heated iron.” Karen P.

Love the pillow. I’ve always wanted to try Sashiko, but no matter what source has the patterns, they are always too far out of my budget range.

Sashiko is the one thing I wish I had tried to learn. It is so beautiful. Very nice pillow.
