Simply Ho Ho Ho Table Runner

The second I saw the pattern for this runner by Me and My Sister Designs, I knew it must come to live at my home.  I had been drooling (not literally–well, most of the time) over our Spring Terrace collection since Jenni first shared her artwork for it.  (Disclaimer: I bleed green and yellow; I have been a huge Oregon Ducks fan since birth).  I chose similar fabrics from our collection and used our Design Table feature to keep straight which fabric I was subbing for what.

(yes, I even have green and yellow Nikes, I am obsessed!)

The project came together really quickly; it is a simple design but the fabrics give it impact and charm!  You could even use different Christmas colored scraps to put it all together in a more scrappy way, or use black and jewel tones, or batiks…so many options.

I was really happy that my 1/4 inch seams are looking really good since my last project.  Practice makes perfect!

My 15 year old daughter, Tori, showing how HUGE this runner is–it’s dining room table size!

I “stitch in the ditched” to quilt it; I’m not quite ready to test my meandering skills but that will come soon.

I can use it during the holidays, as a non-traditional color scheme, and year round with the yellow, blue, and green colors throughout my home.  I will probably be making a few more as my mom has already put in her request!

It looks lovely with the wreath I made last weekend as a centerpiece:

And it looks SO GOOD with my HELMET!  Teehee!

So glad you “got” my hint! I love your wreath, too. I’m going to start a Christmas wreath with flame tree pods, Christmas balls & ribbon soon. You are so inventive – wish you were here to help me.
    Love, Mommy
