One Fabric Runner in Lavender Market 2

One Fabric Runner

I love lavender. I have oodles and oodles of it in my front yard. I love to watch the bees go from bloom to bloom collecting their pollen. I love running my hands through the plant and inhaling deeply. I love harvesting the buds and drying them and making satchels so I can enjoy the lavender all year long.

I also love Lavender Market 2 fabric. When I was going through the new download patterns, I came across One Fabric Runner by Animas Quilts, and thought it would be the perfect pattern to use the Lavender Borders print.

I did have to re-figure some math however. I expected this as not all borders are created the same. The pattern contains information so that you can fit the pattern to your border width.

Once I got the the fabric all cut, it went together pretty fast. The biggest tip I have for you, is don’t be afraid to starch your fabric before you cut. No special tools, or rulers are needed. You just need a ruler that has a 45 degree angle on it, which most of them have. It does leave a lot of waste, but don’t you worry, I’ve got lots of plans for those.

This came out so well, Anita!

Glad you aren’t looking too closely at it, but thanks. I really like how it came out.

Very nice. Great idea for striped patterned fabric as well. I have been using the Morning Glory trellis print from Morning Glory Farms. Will be saving this idea for some companion pieces.

I like this! Also like Agnes’ idea if using stripes to do this.

    I love this!
