Ok seriously, it’s not that hard! I don’t know what I was so worried about. It’s true, this is my first quilt, but I’ve been sewing small projects here and there since I was a teenager. Here’s a sneak peak!
I’m around so many excellent quilters at work, maybe that’s why I was nervous! This time, I decided to go with a simple pattern which requried charm squares. I chose the Charming Garden pattern out of Fast, Flirty, and Fun by Sarah Bisel. I just love this book! It has so many cute projects. Her designs really are fast, but super cute! She teaches us how to use creative notions such as rick-rack and applique so jazz-up a simple charm-square quilt. In this wall-hanging, I used our Earth charm packs (now sold out, but you can use Ecosystem as well) and Sugar-coated samplers, along with some fabrics from our Firecracker collection for my appliqué.
More finished photos to come shortly! I just need to finish some applique.
