Project 21, the Travel Tissue Holder, is found on page 24 in the Fast, Fun, and More Gifty book. One of our favorites, this can be sewn up SO fast and is possible to make many in an afternoon if you get an efficient process set up (one took me 15 minutes!). This is always a great idea for stocking stuffers, guild gifts, quilt group gifts, or any occasion gift. This holder is made from the Somer’s Garden collection. I love the colors!
To begin, cut two 4″ squares and three 4″ x 5-3/4″ pieces.
Fold and press: two 4″ squares and two 4″x 5-3/4″ rectangles. Lay the pressed pieces out as shown with the folded sides facing to the center and the raw edges facing outward.
Lay one side piece on the base rectangle first. Then lay the lower piece on next. The raw edges should all be facing the perimeter.
Lay the third piece on top of the second piece.
Lay the forth piece on and tuck the right end under the first piece.
Sew a 1/4″ all the way around the perimeter.
Almost done!!!
Turn your tissue holder right side out…
Fill with travel tissue size Kleenex and you’re ready to give it away!!! Wahoo! What a great and quick last minute gift!
