Interested in submitting a pattern to our Designer Download program?

Hey, have you seen the new Designer Download that went up on the website yesterday? Click here for a refresher. There are some pretty great ones.  We are also working on getting more designer download patterns available for Kit Builder.  What fun that will be!  I know I can’t wait.  Are you interested in submitting a pattern?  Email your patterns in a low-res PDF format to  I also need some ideas of what type of patterns are you looking to download.  Comment on this blog post and let me know what type of projects you are looking for.  Till next week…

I would love to win the book because I seem to be stuck when it comes to free motion quilting and always use the meander pattern. I see the beautiful designs other ladies use and would like to be able to adopt some of them.

Love the new Kit Builder – such a fantastic idea! Also was pleased to see that you are doing downloadable patterns.
Have to think up a pattern to submit to you. I currently do both paper and PDF patterns.
I like to download smaller projects, such as wall hangings and table runners/toppers.

I like to make up my own patterns and have done some birthday table runners. I put the child’s birth picture in the center of the middle block which is an Ohio Star and then have pinwheels on either side and then the last block is something about the month that they were born in. You put this on the table in the birth month of the child and have the cake on it on the day of the birthday. I have done one for March, October, February and thought os several more. I use fabrics that are indicated for the month of the chid’s birth.

I am new to quilting, and have lots to learn, as to what to do and what to use…all help is so appreciated!!! I love this hobby!!!

  5. Ginger - February 13, 2011

I would love to see some of the older patterns that were created by Connecting Threads staff members. There was a table runner that was popular a year or 2 ago. I wish I could remember the name of the pattern as I would love to buy it.

Do let us know if you remember what that pattern was–perhaps you could describe it or recall what fabric collection it was shown in? I’ve been trying to pick some of our most commonly requested older patterns to make available for download. We’re putting more up all the time.

Melissa, I’ll tell you what I remember and maybe that will help. If you find a picture feel free to email it to me ginger c at gmail dot com and I’ll tell you if it’s the one I was thinking of.
It’s a table runner. I’m pretty sure it was available in Sweet & Sour, Bed & Breakfast, Sip of Summer, and maybe Cheap Talk and Aqua Terra. It had 3 blocks and they gave an optical illusion of laying on top of one another. Hopefully this will be helpful. I would love to buy it as a download.
Another that I really liked was the Peppermint Pin Wheels available this past Christmas. It seemed to sell out quickly.
Thanks so much for caring about your customers.
