Another cozy, rainy weekend in Oregon provided time to finish the Pumpkin Spice project I blogged about as a work-in-progress on November 13th. |

Look at this darling little bottle-cap pincushion from Super-cute Pincusions. It is SO cute and very fun to make! I am a lover of wools so this project is made of wool. I love to embellish and was attracted to the embroidery stitches that adorned the minute pincushion. It has quite a history too! |

Judy and I each decided to make the Patchwork Pumpkin Table Runner. Our first “work-in-progress” blog was posted on Notions on November 15th. We worked on our table runners this weekend and are almost done! Since Thanksgiving is this week, we decided to go ahead and show you our not quite finished projects. |

Judy was inspired to make a Patchwork Pumpkin Table Runner for a holiday gift. Ann was inspired by Judy’s idea to make one also. So, here we are blogging together about the same fun project! |

This past weekend I decided to make a cute Pumpkin Spice Table Topper as a holiday project. I spent a rainy weekend hand sewing while watching a British miniseries on my computer. Heaven! I haven’t done much embroidery in recent years so it was a fun to brush up on my backstitch. |

And Mia had the greatest idea to make them for her friends as treat bags for her party. |

I LOVE Halloween ~ what a fun holiday with tricks and treats for all to enjoy. In fact, I collect Halloween fabrics and love taking them out periodically and am entertained by all the sweet, whimsical imagery. All Hallows Bash will be included in my growing stacks at home. |

It seems that embroidery is really making a comeback lately, which makes me happy because I've always been a fan. It's great to see some fresh, new patterns out there. Some of our in-house designers have been bitten by the bug as well. Have you seen Mari's sheep embroidery on the Three Sheep Tote? Or Jenni's super-cute free embroidery patterns for her Sailor Girl and Boy pillows to go with our new Smooth Sailing collection? Ever since I saw Sarah Jane's "Make It Do" pattern at market last spring, I've had it on my to-do list. Being on maternity leave finally gave me the spare time to actually do it! |

As soon as I saw Sarah Jane’s 3 Little Birds Embroidery Pattern I fell in love with it; I knew this would make the perfect tea towel to remind me to chase away the winter blues. Her pattern is inspired by Bob Marley’s song, “Three Little Birds.” I love Bob Marley. This is most likely because my mom used to play reggae music for me when I was a happy, bouncing baby in my Johnny Jump Up. |
