Plethora of Pillows – Dresden Fan Pillow

For the Plethora of Pillows I chose a pattern from a book I reviewed, The Quilt Block Book by Nancy Wick. I chose to combine the Tulip appliqué pattern and the Dresden Flower Fan pattern.  These two patterns were shown as a quilt layout in the book.  I used a corner section of nine blocks for my pillow.  Page 172 shows this layout.  For my ...

I think I have a problem.   Ever since I got over my fear of zippers I seem to be addicted to making little zipper bags! A Book Review and a Giveaway: The Quilter’s Applique Workshop

I used to be afraid of applique because the first time I tried it, I didn’t know the right tools to help me along the way; I was making a starfish pincushion with appliqued leaves on it; my poor little leaves were so frayed and my stitches were all over the place! If only I had The Quilter's Applique Workshop by Kevin Kosbab back then to ease my fears...lol.
