Block of the Month – Block 4

Guess what folks… Yep! It’s time for block #4 in our Lasting Legacies Block of the Month! Wahoo! Such a beautiful block, it can be perceived as a Spool block or a Bow Tie block… you choose! We’ll be constructing two blocks so you can actually use one block as each by turning one 90 degrees! The Lasting Legacies Collection is absolutely beautiful in the BOM quilt.

It’s not too late to join us! Just pop over to the Lasting Legacies BOM Quilt Along and sign up! You will have access to all the instructions via pictures as I made each block to help you along. You’ll also get to meet some wonderful people that are eager to help you as well. Come join our block building party!

The fabrics chosen for the first block are:

6410 Floral Brigade-Gold, 6404 Pressed Floral-Dark Brown, and 6414 Calico-Pine.

The fabrics chosen for the second block are:

6420 Heirloom-Tea Dyed,6403  Pressed Floral-Curry, and 6399 Heritage-Black.

Very simple in construction, the only technique needed is the half-square triangle. It is super reasonable to have these two blocks built in an afternoon and that’s no hulabaloo! They are just simple 9-Patches! You can’t beat that! Now go get’em block builders!

We’re this far! Wahoo!

Beautiful blocks, Mari. Of course I would keep it as a Bow Tie block because, as the 11th Doctor would say, “Bow Ties are cool!”
