Win a copy of Strip-Smart Quilts!

This contest is now closed! Thanks to all who entered!

Do you love working with strips and have a stash of strip samplers just waiting to be used? Then you’ll want to win a copy of this great book! We’ve got two copies of Strip-Smart Quilts by Kathy Brown to give away to two lucky winners.

Kathy’s book amazes me because she manages to take one ruler technique and make so many different looking quilts from it. And the patterns look easy and fun! I just love this Merry-Go-Round quilt…

…and the optical illusion in this Pick Up Sticks pattern is so mesmerizing…

Kathy uses a Creative Grids 90 degree Double Strip Ruler for her patterns, but she also tells you what other kinds of rulers can be used. (Our Fons & Porter Half & Quarter Ruler is one we carry that would work.)

If you would like to win a copy of this book, leave a comment by Sunday, 8/21 (midnight PST) and tell us what your favorite new Connecting Threads fabric collection is. We’ll randomly pick a winner on Monday, 8/22.

Rules: No purchase necessary.  Must have a US mailing address to enter. One entry per person.  Must provide a valid email address so that we can contact you if you win.

    Hi Rhonda,
I’m glad you love the new collection! I just want to clarify something though: Our fabric is not made in the USA, and it never has been. At one point we said it was “Grown in the U.S. Cotton”, which was true, but too many customers misunderstood this to mean “Made in the USA”, so we decided to drop that marketing message. It has never been printed in the U.S.–when we first started making our own fabric we tried to find U.S. fabric printers to no avail. Anyway, I just wanted you to know because it was never our intention to confuse our customers.
    Thanks!
    Melissa

I love the Birch Tree Lane collection. That lime green is so popular here in Panama with the ladies in my quilt class. They just buy me out all the time but they are just learning about brown and its uses. Not available here often. Wish you were closer because the selection here is pretty dim sometimes. But we soldier on, class by class, we a volunteer group, Hermanas de acochado de Volcan. Everyone loves to quilt here. Use your closeouts all the time. I can ship it and the women can afford it even with the shipping attached. Great place.
