Weekly Curated Sale – On the Go
6.15.2016

For this sale, we’ve picked some things that would work well for the traveling quilter. Summer is upon us – what better time to go to a Quilting Retreat or take a class on a new technique you’ve always wanted to learn? Many of you take to the roads in your RV and who says you have to leave your favorite hobby behind? Whomever said quilting wasn’t portable just didn’t look hard enough – where there is a will, there is a way!

We think the Fons & Porter Design Wall is a great way to keep your blocks organized when on the move! It is easily rolled up and put away.

Items that are great for both traveling and classes are the FoldAways, which come in two sizes and have both a cutting and ironing surface. The Folding Cutting Mats are also a great option if you just want a cutting surface. For pressing on the go, the Clover Wedge Iron works wonders! For those tiny pieces when paper piecing, EPP, and applique, the Clover Mini Iron & Mini Iron Holders are essential.

To keep comfortable when you are not in your own space it’s helpful to have the Contour Seat Cushion with you.

Here are just a few other items that we love for people on the move – Victorian Embroider Scissors (You can NEVER have too many small snippers around. After all, the more you have the greater the chance you may actually find a pair when you need them!) and the Roxanne Glue-Baste-It EZ-Squeezie Bottle.

I’ve been wondering about that Roxanne Glue-Baste Squeeze bottle … it looks handy, and is probably much neater to apply than a gloppy glue stick. How about a review on this item?

FS, I have been using Roxanne’s glue for years to baste with. It’s so much more precise than a glue stick! You have pinpoint control to place tiny dots of glue right where you want them. It’s great for matching seams & points, basting bindings, appliqué, art quilting, you name it. Washes right out & doesn’t gum up your needle. Great stuff.
