Hi, My name is Debbie Snyder, owner and designer of Sew Simple Patterns.  I’ve been sewing garments since my sophomore Home EC class but started quilting years later, in the early 80’s, when I was home with a newborn.  I have since worked in quilt shops, taught all levels of quilting classes and machine embroidery/software classes.

I am so excited about introducing you to my Two Hour Apron pattern through Connecting Threads, Fast, Fun and More Gifty book.  I first came up with this pattern when my oldest son was 2 years old and wanting to help mommy in the kitchen.  Since I wear aprons for everything he felt he needed one too.  I’ve made this in GI Joe fabric, Transformer fabric, Winnie the Pooh and so much more.  As my boys grew, I discovered Connecting Threads, way before the age of computers, and started ordering fabric from them.

I absolutely love their cottons.  The quality of the fabric is superb and the best part is, the price is even better.  Plus the fabric washes up so well.  As you well know aprons are washed a lot.

2-Hour Apron Sassy look

My 2 Hour Apron is designed to grow with your child and is even great for mommy and daddy as the pattern has adult sizes too. It makes a great BBQ apron with its deep pockets to hold smart phones or hot pads.  It’s also great to wear when cleaning the house.

Karen: There are two ways. You can purchase the pattern thru connectingthreads.com as a downloadable pattern ($4.00) and get it right away or you can order the new Fast Fun and More Gifty book ($14.99) which comes with the 2 Hour Apron plus 21 other projects. I know you will love the pattern as much as I do. When you do purchase it, feel free to email me if you have any questions. (sewsimplepatterns@hotmail.com) I am always open to help anyone with one of my patterns. It’s really super easy though. So easy that it has been used in several shops a a Beginning Sewing pattern, for all ages. I’ve even sent it to a sewing camp for young ladies. You can’t image how thrilled I was when they sent me a photo of all they gals wearing their new apron. Enjoy! Debbie
