What is the Fiskars Folding Ruler typically used for?

It is used for cutting–but the greatest feature is how easy it is to take with you or put away in small places. Completely unfolded, the ruler is 6″ x 24″ but folds up to 6″ x 8″.

What was your first impression?

Where has this been all of my sewing life?!

What was your experience using the Fiskars Folding Ruler like?

Great. I used it to measure and cut my fabric. The edge of the ruler where the pieces are joined is smooth and cuts nicely.

How long did it take you to learn how to use it?

No learning time required–just unfold and cut.

Why do you NEED it?

For the retreats that I love to go to! The portability makes this ruler an essential. It is so hard to take my 6″ x 24″ ruler with me when I go to a class or on a trip. It doesn’t fit in any of my bags. This ruler measures 6″ x 8″ when folded. It’s a size I always need and I hate trying to take it with me, so I usually leave it behind and wish I had it.

Who would appreciate the Fiskars Folding Ruler most?

This would be perfectly suited for:

  • Beginner Quilters
  • Intermediate Quilters
  • Expert Quilters
