You know I kind of like Flourish the best. I think this could work well with different techniques used to make great looking
    quilts.

My vote went to Barnum and Johnny the Jackelope Brothers! It’s such a fun fabric and different that anything Connecting Threads has done before.

Loving Alexandra’s design ~ it’s really lovely, I’d love to pair it with a solid and make a bag! Is it going to be available soon?

My top choice is Laundry Day, but I think I voted for most of the others as well. My second choice would be Happiness and I can see how this could have many secondary designs to make a nice line.

Laundry Day, it’s fun, different, totally usable and doesn’t look like something I can already find in a fabric store.

I voted for Laundry Day! The others were nice too, but I liked Laundry most because it was different. It wasn’t flowers, it wasn’t circles or other patterns, it was exactly what the title said it was – Laundry Day!!

I like 2 of these: Wildblooms and Happiness. I kept looking at which ones I would buy and USE. I like the colors in Wildblooms–NO PINK but I like the simple design of Happiness. Happiness looks like it would work with some of the reproductive fabrics that I already own.

“Laundry Day”, by Virginia Odien, is definitely my favorite, fresh and different. I can imagine so many uses for it.
There are so many flowered fabrics already available; and I can’t imagine how the jackalopes got so many votes, with all the wonderful entries I saw when I voted; I would have thought the audience for something so narrowly themed was pretty small.

I am torn between Happiness and Laundry Day for first choice; I just love both of them. But, I really like Wildblooms because of it’s colors and it could be fussy cut for several different looks. And,Flourish reminds me of a Retro 60’s design…yes it brings back memories. lol And my GK’s would love the Jackelope Brothers. It’s a shame there can only be one winner! Honestly, I don’t think I could choose just one until seeing the secondary designs.

Laundry Day reminds me too much of a Heather Ross print in her new FFA3 collection, though it is pretty. Flourish is the one I love the best, but I like the Barnum and Johnny print, too.

By the way I am fairly sure that the Laundry designer had a similar design with leprchauns a long time ago, before the Heather Ross fabric

Personally, ‘Laundry Day’ is much more appealing to my personal aesthetic, so although there’s another version out on the market, I’m really hoping this one gets printed, as I’d certainly buy this first! Well done!

I just saw the rest of the prints Lee designed (on her blog) to go with her Flourish print, and I have to say, you’d be crazy not to pick her!! I love that Flourish print, and the supporting designs she came up with are just stunning, I would buy every single one of them!

I just adore Laundry Days, so creative and unique. I have not seen anything on the market like it and because so different I think it would be a terrific seller. I think in different color waves it would have so many applications for Baby, Teens and adult quilts. I just saw the entire collection and it Rocks!

Amanda (#45), Dawn (#47) is correct. Virginia had a similar laundry design that won a Spoonflower contest on March 16, 2011 the design is here: http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/503290
This was long before Heather Ross came out with her design. It would be so unfair, and such a shame, if Virginia didn’t win because people thought she had copied Heather Ross. I also think the Virginia’s design is better balanced, and has a nicer flow across the fabric, than Heather’s.
I love the Laundry Day design, I think it is so original and fun. I really hope it wins!

I second the comment above. Virginia’s design ‘Laundry Day’ was inspired by her previous ‘leprechaun laundry day’ which disputes the accusations of her nicking any of HR’s ideas. That’s a tainted comment to put on a contest page anyway, especially when it’s false. It’s a great design anyway, and I hope she does very well!
