Swirling Fans & Golden Age Patterns Revisited

Swirling Fans Table Topper
Swirling Fans started out as design for a queen-sized quilt years ago. I decided to play the “What if?” design game to see what might evolve. I started removing elements from the undulating design and ended up with this unusually-shaped table topper.

I absolutely love the Golden Age collection, especially the focal fabric Elegant Bouquet Lt Latte and its companion fabrics.

Swirling Fans looks so pretty quilted! I think I could design a whole room around this table topper and these fabrics!

One of the fun parts of my job is to adventure into the Connecting Threads archives to find popular patterns from the past to recolor in new collections. Here are two designs reappearing in the Golden Age collection:

Curved Nine-Patch Table Topper
Interesting piecing… but not too hard.

Luscious fabrics from the Golden Age collection!

Stunning table runner enhanced with amazing quilting by Deb.

Log Cabin Star Quilt
Love Log Cabin blocks and star quilts? Here is a great combination in the Golden Age collection.

Love the color combinations in Golden Age!

Lovely!

Betcha someone you know would love one of these projects in their home… How about you?

    Ann,
Could you tell me where I could find the SWIRLING FANS quilt pattern as a big quilt?
Thanks and I love your blog.

Deb, there is no pattern for a larger quilt. It is a design I came up with years ago but never developed into a pattern. I will certainly think about it though! Thanks for your comment.
