My dear friend just celebrated a monumental birthday and I wanted to do something nice for her to let her know how much I love and appreciate her!  She is a giant fan of rainbows, rainbows of any kind!  So, I decided to embroider a pillow for her, using my Cartouche Embroidery Pattern.  You’ve seen my original version, but I wanted to do something different and show you the versatility with my pattern.  I chose one of the motifs and blew it up, so it would encompass the majority of the 16 x 16″ pillow dimension.

I embroidered using Roy G. Biv (which is the acronym for the sequence of colors used to make up a rainbow…Red.Orange.Green.Blue.Indigo.Violet.)  Look how pretty it is amongst our Quilter’s Candy solids!

I am so happy with the result, it’s so fun and colorful, just like my friend!

So gorgeous, Jennie! I LOVE that pattern and I think I like it the best in rainbow. I still haven’t started my sunflower pillow, but I was given the Sulky embroidery transfer pens as a gift so I hope to give it a go soon.

This is absolutely gorgeous, Jenni! How different it looks in rainbow like colors than on the rhapsody in red fabric.
