Neutral Love II + Vintage Quilt Revival = Pillow Love

3 comments » books, fabric, staff projects

When we received the samples for our Neutral Love II collection I knew right away I had to have one if not several things made out of it. When I was reviewing the book Vintage Quilt Revival I thought exactly the same thing so I thought why not put them together and see what comes of it. Somebody did that with peanut butter and chocolate and look at how much better the world is now! As I was looking through my house pondering what would be a really good excuse to NEED more fabric for, and I came up with a pillow. I really need some new throw pillows, mine are in pretty sad shape. Flipping through the book I stopped on the Spiced Chai Quilt, I love the blocks that are put together to form a square – they used that portion to add color to the neutrals but I really want a large neutral pillow so I am going to do mine in the grey/black palette of Neutral Love II.

It was actually a pretty quick project to get the quilt top done. I am now working on the nerve to quilt it. I’ll check back in after I get it quilted and add the envelope back to show it off. Or confess how much I ruined it after trying my hand at quilting!
