Introducing: Hayley!
2.11.2016

As the newest addition to the Connecting Threads team, I am tasked with introducing myself to you. So, first things first: Hello! I’m Hayley, the new marketing coordinator for Connecting Threads.

My role is a mix of traffic control and helping us communicate with you. I’ll be the one ensuring our plans get set into motion and go smoothly. You can also expect to see me on the CT social media outlets— responding to posts, answering questions, and connecting with the crafting community.

Growing up in a creative family was definitely the spark that lit my passion for crafting. Both of my grandmothers were wizards on a sewing machine and my parents and three sisters are all makers of something, be it music, crafts, or food. I’ve dabbled in embroidery, taken up knitting and crochet, hand-sewn many a doll dress, and flirted with quilting. With all the inspiration seen in my two weeks here, I have a strong feeling that quilting is going to quickly become a full-blown love affair. I’m already itching to lug out my sewing machine and attempt to craft a quilt even half as beautiful as those I’ve seen from all of you!

Despite being new, I am already proud to be part of Connecting Threads. Not only does it mean I get to be surrounded by gorgeous fabric—a definite perk!—but I also have the honor of getting to work and connect with an entire community of exquisitely talented creatives. Tribe, family, community…whatever you want to call it, when it comes to finding a group of encouraging and inspiring people, the CT team and customers are some of the best around. Thank you for allowing me to join your circle.

Some of my favorite things include: DIY projects, bright colors, modern-meets-vintage styles, and compelling stories. These will be the things that flavor  future blog posts from me, so stay tuned!

Thank you, Mary! It’s extra-special that one of my first welcomes extended to me in the CT quilting community was by someone from home.
