Hello…I’m Stephanie of Loft Creations.  I was tickled when Connecting Threads asked me to guest post.

This is my Modern Mary Jane pattern.  Retro fun! This is a great pattern for highlighting a large print fabric for the center panel.  When I design a new bag, I like to try out different fabrics in hopes that I can appeal to a wide audience, and to show the versatility of one single pattern.

Modern Mary Jane is cute and cozy dressed up using a linen calendar for the center panel.  This is my personal bag.  It’s a perfect size for holding files and date books.  I use this as my business bag.

Using a vintage doily for the center panel gives Modern Mary Jane a soft and frilly look.  She looks great dressed in whatever she’s wearing.

Modern Mary Jane in Tulane — bright and sophisticated.  I’m very excited that Connecting Threads now has Modern Mary Jane available as a kit with their gorgeous new fabrics. Kits are perfect — minimal cutting, then all you have to do is sew!  Modern Mary Jane sews up quickly and makes a great gift — birthday, teacher appreciation, caregiver, Mother’s Day, Christmas…the kits make great gifts, too!  And don’t forget to make a Modern Mary Jane for yourself.

-Peacefully, Stephanie.

Beach House colors are so refreshing. Cool colors to take the heat away from the hot summer sun.
    Can’t wait to try them.

Hi, I just love this thread I have all the old sets and the new colors are so pretty I don’t know which one to start with it’s like being in a candy store. How do I enter to win a set that would be great. Love your projects here especially the aqua/brown with birds. Good job. Sue

I have really liked the products I have used. We live in a town of 500 and closest place to get fabric and sewing needs is 71 miles away. Hope this is the entry for threads.

They all look great! It’s just as versatile as Stephanie’s Oak Park Bag, another of my favorites.

I am new to your web site. Beach House thread set. (I am moving to the gulf coast.) Wisteria or Beach Glass.
Your prices are great. I live where the only place to buy thread is Wall-Mart, which has a limited thread selection.
    Thak You!

Hi Stephanie,I saw a lady doing applique and she had what I would call a swatch of threads that had many colors in it. They seemed to have been woven together. It was given to her so she didn’t know where to get it. Hope you can answer my question,as it would be alot easier to carry so many different colors of thread.

    Hi
All the thread is beautiful but I’d like the Confections Thread Set or 1 Tomato and 1 Ivy if I won.

My favorite thread! Of course I’m excited at the chance to win a spool or a set. Favorite set is Farmers Market; favorite colors would be Sprout and Tomato. Thanks for this opportunity. Happy Sewing!

All the new colors are so nice, and of course the old ones are, too. It would be hard to choose which new set to purchase.
