Hello fellow quilters and sewers! I am Paulette Morissey of Tulip Square, a 63 year old quilter/weaver/artist from Wisconsin. I alternate my time between designing new quilt patterns, weaving various household items (towels are my favorite), and creating colored pencil art. I am quite excited to be a part of the whole Gifty Galore project. What fun! I’m enjoying seeing all the different projects being presented each week.
My project is a Framed Block Table Topper – I made it a few different times, in totally different fabric collections. Still not sure which is my favorite, but I do love the whimsical snowman fabric from Snowed Inn designed by MaryJo Tuttle that I used for the centers of my blocks!
Here is the design I used for my featured pattern, as well as a second topper made with a different fabric collection – for a totally different look. I omitted the sashing on the second topper.
We would LOVE to see how your projects turn out. Join the Gifty Galore group on Quilt With Us (QWU) and post your pictures there for everyone to enjoy. If you’re on Pinterest, upload your picture and tag it with #GG14. Of course, we would also love to see your pictures on our Facebook wall! Please post any questions about this project below in comments and we will respond.
