Gifty Galore – Project 15
10.13.2014

Hi, I’m Winthur, Fabric Designer here at Connecting Threads.  This is my first Gifty Galore project, actually my first Christmas sewing project, ever!  I’m a self taught, novice sewer- so bear with me.

Finished product! There are also cute applique instructions in this tutorial that I omitted... maybe next time!

This weekend I made a super simple flannel Christmas Stocking from a tutorial I found on the Sew Like My Mom blog.  It only took me about and hour and a half to make this cute, good-sized stocking.  It’s fully lined, which is nice. I used a pretty red plaid from Snowed Inn flannel fabric collection as the stocking, and Argyle flannel in Apple from our Quilters Candy Flannel collection.

My sister and her husband are expecting their first baby in December.  My goal is to make three of these for them.  I think the next two will go even faster!

Pretty trim that I've had FOREVER! Glad to finally put it to use.

I used some pretty ribbon trim that I bought in NYC years ago at M&J trimming. See, sometimes it’s good to hold onto stuff for years!  You never know when it will be called to use.

If you are looking for a quick and easy stocking pattern that even an unseasoned sewer can accomplish in an afternoon-  this is your pattern!

Cute! I love the ribbon touch. I was just at M&J on Saturday! It’s so much bigger than when I was last there!
