Little Marshmallow Styled

Little Marshmallow has arrived! Isn’t he just the cutest little ice block snowman you’ve ever seen? I really wanted to make a snowman for my Wire Table Stand to put out for Christmas and Mari was kind enough to design this adorable Little Marshmallow Snowman free pattern! Look how cute he looks on the stand!

Little Marshmallow in Stand

I used our Quilter’s Candy Basics and I think the Lotta Dots – Ocean Mist makes a great snowy background—and of course the white on whites worked great for the snowman. Since the prints were so simple, it allowed me a lot of room to play with the quilting – and boy did I play! I particularly loved making the maze in the snowman body. Since the body and the snow were the same color, I used the quilting to separate them. To me, the diagonal lines in the sky made it look like snow was coming down and gave the background a little extra texture. Did I already say I had fun?!

Little Marshmallow KO

I think the different sized and wonky placed buttons give him a ton of personality. That and the crooked cross stitch embroidered smile. I couldn’t love him more!

We would LOVE to see how your projects turn out. Head over to the new Gifty Galore Flickr page and post your project photos there for everyone to enjoy! Of course, we would also love to see your pictures on our Facebook wall. Please post any questions about this project below in the comments and we will gladly respond to you directly.

I LOVE snowmen and he is soooo cute! Great size and color choice. Really like the quilting – simple and yet lots of movement 😀

I tried to download this patten and got message that it “no longer exists.” I really wanted it since I love snowmen.

I love this pattern! And I thought the same thing about the quilting making it look like it was snowing. And this is the kind of quilting I can do!
But I can’t download it either. I’ve clicked on every single link in this post and it still says it’s no longer available. I tried several times and I even rebooted my computer. Still didn’t work.

I got it too. Guess I just had to give the website a little break. Must have been real busy with everyone after this cute little guy!
