Gifty Galore 2011: Tea Cozy

6 comments » fun, gifty, staff projects

So many of the Gifty Galore members guessed today’s project! Perhaps my hint this week was a bit too obvious.  Yep, its a tea cozy.  Its not just any tea cozy, its our own Sue’s Teapot Cozy!  However, instead of making it in the Love My Honey collection, I chose to make it in Charlottesville. If you remember back a couple of weeks I made that table runner in Charlottesville and loved it so much I thought a complementary tea pot cozy would be lovely.

Just to let you all know, I made this in one hour!  Yes!  One hour!  Now that’s what I call a quick Christmas gift!

I did make a few changes though.  I cut piece B for the inside and outside.  I also widened the blue strip for the tie at the top as I used a cord which is much bigger than the 1/4″ ribbon the pattern used.  Enjoy!

Are their directions? I’ve thought of trying to make one of these in the past — and you make it sound so easy.

Jeanne, If you run your cursor over the words, “Sue’s Teapot Cozy” you will be taken to the pattern. It’s just a $1.99 download.
