I made this pillow from the Straight and Narrow pattern in the book, Bags, Pillows & Pincushions. I enjoyed making this pillow, but have decided it is too small for my couch. I was not intrigued by the long and narrow version. I am going to be making a larger square using the length measurement of the long narrow pillow, but making it square.
This was a very simple pattern to make and the instructions were easy to follow. Using my True Cut Ruler and the True Cut Rotary Cutter (I love these!) made it even more enjoyable cutting all the strips. This would be a fun pattern to make in different fabrics for different seasons, since it works up really quick. I could see altering the middle square section to accommodate a Christmas scene.
I am in love with Batiks, so I have used all Batiks except for the solid accents, which I found among our solids to match the Batiks.
