My finished projects are few and far between these days but I did finally finish a project that isn’t for work or a gift, it’s mine all mine and I’m done! Some of you might have seen my previous post about the pillow top I made adjusting a pattern from the book Vintage Quilt Revival using our Neutral Love II collection, if not and curiosity gets you here is a link. Anyway, I stopped at the point of quilting, the stopping point of many projects – yours and mine, I’m sure. After agonizing, plotting, and planning I finally decided to just stitch-in-the-ditch.
I know, kind of boring and safe you say… not necessarily. I’m kind of a crazy driver so it’s pretty much touch and go throughout the entire quilting process. There was a lot of cursing myself for making such a LARGE pillow but eventually I got through it and I’m really happy with the results.
Plus it’s one more quilted project under my belt. Hopefully I will get enough of those done to start feeling comfortable enough to branch out and try other types of quilting. After finishing the pillow, my son, Tyler, and I had a pillow fashion show. He had to add the big heart pillow I haven’t put away since Valentine’s Day, then model with them himself, and of course come in for his close up!
