Fall Pin Cushions for Gifty!!

Judy and I decided to collaborate on a Gifty Galore project, since I love to embroider and she loves to sew.  It was a win win situation!  For Gifty Galore, the staff here at CT typically just chooses a project out of one of the new books that we are going to showcase.  For this project though, we chose a project from a book and paired it with a pin cushion pattern we carry.

When we flipped through “S is for Stitch” by Kristyne Czepuryk we fell in love with the simplicity of the embroidery designs and when we came across the spider web, we thought it was perfect to incorporate with my new Rest In Pieces collection.  Judy suggested we make a joint project by using the pin cushion pattern “Pretty Little Pins – Oct-Nov-Dec” by Sherri K. Falls.  This pattern is great because it showcases a cute embroidery on the front.  So we made up two…one with the “W is for Web” embroidery design from “S is for Stitch” and one with the existing pumpkin embroidery design from “Pretty Little Pins”.

For the spider web embroidery, we chose Haunted Grounds in Curry & Pumpkin Toss in Black

For the pumpkin embroidery, we chose Ghosts & Ghouls in Lt. Carrot & Pumpkin Toss in Plum.

The embroideries were quick and easy and Judy whipped them up into the cute little pin cushions they are!  Definitely a fun gift for someone!!
