Snow Flakes Mini Runner

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Snow Flakes Mini Runner! It is absolutely adorable. First, of course, I love snowmen; second, it’s mini– who doesn’t love mini?; and third, it was quick and easy. What a trifecta. This was super simple to make, no matching and the embroidery is primitive so it shouldn’t be perfect. It was fun to make all the different expressions with embroidery and different size and type of buttons ...

Merry Christmas Banner

I chose the “Merry Christmas” wall hanging from Nancy Halvorsen’s Ho Ho Ho Let it Snow for my project this year.  Having just moved into a brand new home, I’m not sure where all my Christmas treasures will fit, so my solution is to make new treasures to fit with the old treasures! This wall hanging was such fun to make, and went together very quickly once I had picked all the fabrics.  It will hang on the ...

On the lookout for new photo shoot locations!!

As the Art Director for our catalog photo shoots, it’s my job to research and book locations.  We have a very tight budget which makes for a lot of creativity and craftiness.  I choose locations based on the overall feel and style of a home and try my best to have it connect with the collections I will be photographing.  I've done shoots at coworkers homes, Bed & Breakfasts, through Airbnb, friends of friends homes.  But there can never be enough options, that is why I’m reaching out to all of you.  If you are in the Portland/Vancouver area and you feel like your home would be a great location for our photo shoot, I’d love to hear from you!

Flower Power Table Runner

Bright, vibrant, and lively… these words describe our new Spring Batiks! Oh, they are lovely to be sure. The Daisy Confetti print reminds me of the flowers popular in the 70’s hence, Flower Power Table Runner. Wahoo!

American Celebration

It is such a thrill for me to see my painted design come to life in the form of a fabric line.  Each one becomes an instant favorite with me, but I think that the newest,  American Celebration is really my favorite! When Teri asked me to design another Americana themed line, I was ready, paintbrush in hand!  As most folks around here know, I’m very Red, White ...

Cartouche Embroidered Pillow

I really do love to embroider.  It's just so relaxing to me, and these days I haven't been in much of a sewing mood, but embroidery...well that's a different story.  My first embroidery patterns I did for Smooth Sailing were very well received to my surprise and I even had requests to make some more patterns.  So, that's just what I did!  Using Rhapsody of Reds as my muse I was really inspired to design an embroidery for a decorative pillow.  So I took some of the main circular motifs from the Rhapsody & Cartouche prints and had fun with the placement of my design, by deliberately having the motifs cut off.

My latest collection Rhapsody of Reds is finally out!

When I first designed Symphony of Blues I never dreamt it would be as popular as it was.  And due to all the love it received, we as a collective at CT thought how great that collection would be updated in a new color palette, and reds instantly came to mind!  And so Rhapsody of Reds was born (or re-born depending on how you look at it).

Santa Stitchery

When the book Stitch it for Christmas by Lynette Anderson came in, I volunteered to make the Santa Stitchery.  So, during a long, sunny weekend this summer at the beach, I was stitching away on Santa!  I finished the stitchery during the weekend, and then finished the project when I got back home.  I had a grand time doing this project; it’s just a perfect fit for the Wire Table Stand, and the Tree ...
