Scrap Fabric Project

Little quilts are absolutely adorable and considering that, I’m confused there are so few in my home. Well, that’s going to get fixed pronto! Awhile back I wrote a blog called My Primitive Little Quilt. The project required 30 charm squares in which one 3-1/2” square was cut. That left two, 1-1/2” strips from each charm square. Yep, you guessed it, another “closet” project…

My Primitive Little Quilt

Well, long about now I'm really getting embarrassed. I keep blogging on these 'almost finished' projects and it's dawning on me I need a 12-step program for this because there are so many more projects to go! Why do I put these projects away at such a late stage? Why not just finish them because it only takes such a little amount of time to do that? I'm exasperated with myself!!! They are all so cute!

A Hexie Primitive Home

OK, so, this is the worst it gets! All uphill from here. The next quilty task I pulled out of my closet was this Hexie project. It really doesn't qualify as a UFO because the next step was taking it to the framer. It was all finished... that is, hand pieced, hand embroidered, embellished with cute little buttons and hand quilted! All it needed was to be tucked inside a frame. I guess I didn't want to bother with that. As you probably guessed, this took no time at all ~ just a trip to the nearest craft store and they did all the work! I love it! Wahoo!

Another Runway Done! Wahoo!

Well now, here's another abandoned table runner from the cavernous place I call my closet. It was rather fun to uncover so many "almost finished" projects. I wonder why they keep hiding from me. Perhaps because they're undressed?

Heart Pincushion

I was thinking…  what can be made for Valentine’s Day that’s fun, but not too much work. A pincushion is perfect! Where to begin, so I started drawing the most obvious image, a heart. How about, two hearts that fit together so well that without one it would look like something was missing? Hey, February is American Heart Month! Perfect!
