A Runaway Runner

I call this my runaway runner because it's been hiding from me for about three years. Poor orphan that I've neglected. When Christmas was over I decided to begin spring cleaning and the first place I started was my bedroom closet. The most "stuff" that was pulled out of there was quilting related. Can any of you relate? My lovely runner was so far along in completing, I chose it first. The runner was completely sewn and already adhered to the batting and backing with 505 Spray & Fix. I love that stuff! No pins of any kind, no baste stitching, just 505!

Block of the Month – Block 4

Guess what folks... Yep! It's time for block #4 in our Lasting Legacies Block of the Month! Wahoo! Such a beautiful block, it can be perceived as a Spool block or a Bow Tie block... you choose! We'll be constructing two blocks so you can actually use one block as each by turning one 90 degrees! The Lasting Legacies Collection is absolutely beautiful in the BOM quilt.

Lasting Legacies Block of the Month

The Lasting Legacies Quilt Along is beginning their first block for Connecting Threads first ever Block of the Month this week. It is being constructed from the brand new Lasting Legacies civil war collection. The quilt is made with twelve blocks; two colorways of six different blocks giving the overall look a very scrappy, yet cohesive feel. The project will be made over a seven month period with the first six months dedicated to making the blocks and the last month for constructing the sashing and borders.

December Candle Mat

Awe, isn't he so cute?! Perfect for the holiday season, this little snowman will bring a joyful cheer to your home. The December Candle Mat is constructed from Quilter's Candy fabric options. Applique, embroidery and half-square-triangles (HST) make up this cheerful project. I'm sure you'll want to make a number of them as gifts for friends and family. Certainly a quick sew, and easily created in a couple of hours. You just need to be careful which way you turn the HSTs.
