Lasting Legacies Block of the Month

The Lasting Legacies Quilt Along is beginning their first block for Connecting Threads first ever Block of the Month this week. It is being constructed from the brand new Lasting Legacies civil war collection. The quilt is made with twelve blocks; two colorways of six different blocks giving the overall look a very scrappy, yet cohesive feel. The project will be made over a seven month period with the first six months dedicated to making the blocks and the last month for constructing the sashing and borders.

December Candle Mat

Awe, isn't he so cute?! Perfect for the holiday season, this little snowman will bring a joyful cheer to your home. The December Candle Mat is constructed from Quilter's Candy fabric options. Applique, embroidery and half-square-triangles (HST) make up this cheerful project. I'm sure you'll want to make a number of them as gifts for friends and family. Certainly a quick sew, and easily created in a couple of hours. You just need to be careful which way you turn the HSTs.

Obsessed With Spritz Cookie Ornaments

Spritz Cookie Ornaments I was looking for a project that was portable and could be done in my lap while watching Karate and cheerleading practices.  I also wanted something that didn’t require buying too many new supplies or would take too long to complete. Santa’s New Suit!

Posy Parade

Posy Parade is a collection of four different colored posies in a palette of grays to blues. The second inner border mimics the shape of the flower. Almost large enough for a double comforter, Posy Parade will be a wonderful addition to a room full of quilts. It’s soft in “color impact”, yet ready to make its own style statement.
