When I first saw the Oh Christmas Tree pattern by Nancy Rink, it was love at first sight. So I begged Nancy if we could use her pattern as a download pattern for Gifty this year. Her directions were so easy to follow and the project went together so quickly, depending on what applique method you use. It only took me a weekend (with lots of other engagements) to finish this project up. I used fusible applique, but hand embroidered the button stitch around the tree.
Since yellow, gray, white, and black is the color scheme for the redo of my quilt studio, I decided to make a Color Wheel Pincushion with these colors from the pattern and kit by Sheila Sinclair Snyder of License to Quilt. Read more to see the finished project…
The Suzy Sack is a kick-in-the-pants to make. It was so much fun that I made five of them! My first attempt took me about an hour and I made a few mistakes, but from that point forward it was a piece of cake! The bag now takes me about half an hour error free, start to finish! Wahoo!
How cute are these placemats and napkins by Jo-Lydia’s Attic?? They’re just so delightful and cheery and make me want to fill my belly with a bowl full of jelly. ;] And, they were super easy to make.
I chose from the Quilter’s Candy Prints because they’re not too busy yet still completely adorable! I also chose the fake fur option on the placemats because I think the texture makes them pop …
Designer Downloads is exploding with activity and NEW designers! In the last month we have added 7 new designers to our download program. Each designer brings something different to our arsenal of patterns.
I don’t know if you have been paying attention to what has been happening on our Designer Download page, but in the last two weeks we have added 32 new patterns and 3 new designers and more in the hopper just waiting to be typed in and added.
