Bloomin’ Patches Wall Hanging in Jubilee Garden

3 comments » fabric, fun, staff projects

What a thrill to have another line of fabric with my name on the selvege!  Jubilee Garden sprung from my love of anything Americana.  The flowers on this wall hanging were inspired by a design in my second decorative painting book, Tuttles Touches, Vol. 2.  Then I was asked if I wanted to design a wall hanging using the Jubilee Garden fabrics – well, heck yes!  It sounded like a fun idea, but it wouldn’t have happened without Sharla’s knowledge of pattern writing.  She took my colored pencil drawing and made it a pattern.  After the pattern was tested, I got to make the sample for the catalog.  The longarm quilter did an amazing job, and I love the finished project.
