Batik Paradise – Something Old and Something New

1 comment » Applique, fabric, fun, patterns

Here are three colorful patterns in CT‘s May 2014 catalog – something old and something new!

As CT‘s archivist, I get to recolor popular patterns from the past into new collections.

Simple & Sweet
Simple & Sweet is a very easy baby quilt suitable for a beginning quilter or a busy experienced one. What makes this 40″ square baby quilt unusual is the use of gorgeous batiks from the Batik Paradise Spring-Summer 2014 Limited Edition collection.

Can you think of a new mom or a child who would enjoy this colorful quilt? I sure can!

Posy Patch Table Runner
Another favorite quilt recolored in the Batik Paradise Spring-Summer 2014 Limited Edition collection is the Posy Patch Table Runner.

This 26-1/2″ x 43-1/2″ table runner would add color to any home!

And last but not least – A brand new, exclusive design by Sue Terpin called Cattywompus. The wonky blocks of color are mainly pieced;  some small squares are appliquéd. Every quilt will be different – it depends on how the blocks are trimmed.

This 50-1/2″ x 58-1/2″ quilt has a crazy, modern vibe! What Fun!

I love the word cattywompus. Not many people know what it means and few use the word anymore. The quilt is cute too!
