Judy

I have worked for Connecting Threads since 1997. I am the Merchandising/Project Manager. I coordinate getting our patterns tested and samples sewn for photography. I also monitor our website content. This is a great place to work! Quilts and coworkers that share the love of quilting, what more could I ask for in a job?

    Bobbi Blackbird and Candy Cardinal

I have been so happy since Bobbi Blackbird and Candy Cardinal came into my life. Just kidding. No, I’m not. These adorable litle pincusions make me smile every time I look at them. I collect fun pincushions that I display in my sewing room and change them throughout the year. I would use Bobby for every day and Candy during the holidays.

    Caddy Pad

I love to take my iron to classes and retreats but don’t like to mess with trying to figure out how to get a hot iron home. I have seen the Caddy Pad pattern made in many different fabrics and it always looks so cute.

    Travel Tissue Case

I made the Travel Tissue Case. It is a free download pattern so you don't have to buy a pattern to make it. It is a great gift and doesn't use much fabric. This is my first one that I made but I plan on making more. I love that it has the zippered section so you can put your lipstick, credit card and money in it, or any other little items you can't live without and off you go.

    Cornflower Blue

Taking this project on was a bit of a dare; I was challenged to use our solid Cornflower from the Quilter’s Candy collection in a creative yet innovative way. One of my favorite quilting inclinations is to use a touch of applique with every quilt.  How can I design a quilt using our Solid Cornflower and not use the actual flower?  NOT!  Introducing… Cornflower Blue…

    Spring Into Bloom

Oh, my, gosh! How I love brights! So, I’ve been carrying around in my head for months this quilt image that is only pieced with bright fabrics with a white-on-white background, and the brights were given ample room so they explode off the white space. I’m so ready for spring and the pick-me-up we get from the sun and beautiful flowers, hence, Spring into Bloom!

Meet Judy, Project Manager for Connecting Threads

I have worked for Connecting Threads for over 15 years.  Like everyone else here, I have a variety of hats I wear in my role. I make sure we are following all of our procedures.  People think of me as the Procedure Police (AKA office nag) because so much of my job revolves around deadlines being met, and projects being done according to plan.  I really do enjoy working here and the best part is all of the great people I get to see every day.  It is always busy and I love it. The time flies when you are having fun!
