Another new collection to share….Shimmering Frost!
9.26.2012

I was asked to create a collection using a very popular past collection as inspiration, known as “Twilight Frost”.  So I gladly took on the task of creating Shimmering Frost to have a similar feel and yet a touch of me included.  We wanted to keep with similar colors of blues and greens, but I also wanted to add black and grays since they are very popular these days.  I envisioned dark wintery nights, snowflakes falling, icicles forming, and stars gleaming.  The motifs are simple and airy, graphic and whimsical.

Crystalline

Graphic snowflakes just pop on this black ground.

Blustery

This print feels exaclty as the name suggests.

Reflections

A whimsical geometric print.

Starry Night, Glisten & Sparkle

Great ditsy prints that are great for blenders.

I really like how these prints and colors can be mixed or used to be more tonal.  Here are some of my favorite kits.

Swoon Quilt

Starlight Table Topper

by Ann Johnson.  I really love the serene feeling of this color combination.

Crystalline Lap Quilt

by Mari Martin.  Again, I love this color combo and the intricate geometry of this quilt.

I also think an all Black and Gray quilt could be very striking.  Which prints and kits are your favorites??

Thank you Kelly! I agree, nice to have a wintery line that’s not in your face Christmas.
Jamie Lee, that quilt is so beautiful! You’ll have to post a picture when you’re done:)

I really like Blustery, and the Crystalline is so pretty I don’t know if I could cut it up!
I love the shades, and tones of the gray, green, black and a little blue.
    Beautiful work!

I have a qusetion about the fabrics — which I love. Colors and prints are great. Does the fabric have a sheen or gloss to it, similar to the Fairy Frost line? Thanks ~~

    Hi Lynn,
No, Shimmering Frost is purely quilter’s cotton fabric, there is no finish or shine or glitter or anything.
