American Celebration

It is such a thrill for me to see my painted design come to life in the form of a fabric line.  Each one becomes an instant favorite with me, but I think that the newest,  American Celebration is really my favorite!

When Teri asked me to design another Americana themed line, I was ready, paintbrush in hand!  As most folks around here know, I’m very Red, White and Blue, and Americana is one of my favorite themes, whether I’m painting or quilting.  My inspiration was summertime, picnics, and just plain fun!

I was able to sew a couple of the projects for the catalog as well.  Kristin Gassaway’s “Liberty Wall Hanging” and “My Favorite Duffle Bag” from Lazy Girl Designs were really fun projects, and went together quickly.  Another project that I sewed from American Celebration was the “Stars & Stripes Candle Mat” from Farmhouse Threads.  As soon as I saw that pattern, I knew I wanted to make it.  It too, was a quick & easy project, and will have a home in my craft room in our new home, which is decorated in my favorite Red, White & Blue treasures.

I hope you enjoy American Celebration, and find the perfect project to celebrate the upcoming summer season!

The Bias Checkerboard print with the itty bitty stars is my favorite! Great collection.

Beautiful line of fabric…I have a thing for star fabric. Guess I’ll be adding to my stash, again.
